Goch (dpa / lnw) - A potato transporter overturned in a traffic accident with a seriously injured person in Goch on the Lower Rhine and scattered the load on the street. According to the first findings of the police, a driver on the federal highway 9 got into the oncoming lane in a right-hand bend on Wednesday morning for an initially unknown reason. A collision occurred and the car was pushed between the truck and a house wall, a police spokeswoman said. As a result, the van overturned. The driver was taken to hospital by rescue helicopter with serious injuries. The truck driver was slightly injured. Another car was also damaged by debris. The B9 had to be closed for hours to recover the vehicles and the potatoes.
