North Rhine-Westphalia: Prevented burglar falls asleep at the scene

Unna (dpa / lnw) - When trying to break into a gas station, a man in Unna is said to have fallen asleep at the scene. Witnesses heard a loud noise on Monday night and then observed a person banging on the front door of the gas station, the police report said. "Then the man went down."

On site, the police officers who rushed to the scene found a sleeping 41-year-old with the tools of the crime. A breath alcohol test revealed more than 2.2 per thousand. The man was then allowed to sleep off his intoxication in heated police custody.
