Münster (dpa / lnw) - Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst and Health Minister Karl-Josef Laumann (both CDU) will take part in the memorial service for Pope Benedict XVI on Sunday (10 a.m.). in the Cathedral of Munster. Bishop Felix Genn will celebrate the service and preach the sermon. The celebration will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the Diocese of Münster.

Benedict died at the age of 95 last Saturday in the Vatican monastery Mater Ecclesiae. He lived there for the past few years after resigning in 2013. According to a statement made last weekend, Wüst praised him as one of the most distinguished theologians of the 20th and 21st centuries.
