Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - Hendrik Wüst (CDU) took his family to the Düsseldorf state parliament for the election of the Prime Minister in North Rhine-Westphalia. The incumbent Prime Minister appeared on Tuesday afternoon at a reception given by the President of the Landtag. Also present: wife Katharina and their one-year-old daughter. The 34-year-old pushed little Philippa in the stroller to the reception.

A good six weeks after the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia, the state parliament will vote on the Prime Minister for the new legislative period in a secret ballot on Tuesday (2 p.m.). Hendrik Wüst (CDU) is standing for re-election.
