North Rhine-Westphalia: racing cyclist collides with a child: both seriously injured

Recklinghausen (dpa / lnw) - A four-year-old boy and a racing cyclist collided in Recklinghausen and were seriously injured. According to initial findings, the 42-year-old cyclist wanted to pass the child on Tuesday evening on the footpath and cycle path, who was walking with his mother, the police said on Wednesday. The man and the boy collided for reasons that are not clear. Both suffered serious injuries and were taken to the hospital.
