Borgholzhausen (dpa / lnw) - After a robbery on a farm in Borgholzhausen northwest of Bielefeld, the police are looking for witnesses to the incident. On Saturday, several perpetrators broke into an apartment there and attacked a resident. They beat him, ransacked the rooms and destroyed furniture. They fled with a small amount of cash, the Gütersloh district police said on Thursday. Neighbors became aware on Wednesday because they had not seen the victim for four days. They called the police. An ambulance took the injured 67-year-old to a hospital.
According to previous investigations, witnesses saw a group of six young people nearby around 5:15 a.m. early Saturday morning. Some of the 16 to 18-year-olds are said to have been masked.
