North Rhine-Westphalia: railway customer overhears pickpockets and raises the alarm

Cologne (dpa / lnw) - A train passenger overheard a conversation between two pickpockets on the ICE and stopped their tour of thieves. Between Düsseldorf and Cologne, the 38-year-old heard two young men talking in Arabic about which piece of luggage they should steal next. The woman understood every word and informed the train staff. In Cologne, the police arrested the two 16 and 17-year-olds. In her luggage, officers found a laptop that they had stolen from a passenger on the train. Several public prosecutors have already investigated one of the two men for other property crimes.
