North Rhine-Westphalia: Ran into a group of people: Arrest warrant issued

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - an arrest warrant for six attempts at manslaughter has been issued against a 37-year-old who is said to have crashed his car into a group of people in Düsseldorf. This was announced by a spokesman for the Düsseldorf public prosecutor's office on Monday on request.

Early on Saturday morning there was a mass brawl in a parking lot in Düsseldorf on the sidelines of a private party. The 37-year-old, who also attended the celebration, is said to have steered his car into the group, injuring five people. The men landed on the hood and were thrown to the ground, requiring hospital treatment.

The driver fled, but witnesses noted his license plate number. The Leverkusen police were able to arrest the suspect a little later. He is said to be the owner of the car. A homicide commission was set up. The police assume that there are eyewitnesses to the crime who have not yet contacted the investigators.
