North Rhine-Westphalia: refrigerated truck loses pork halves on the road

Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - A 19-ton load of pork halves pushed the side wall of a meat truck outwards and tore it open. As a result, according to the police, parts of the load fell onto the road on Friday at the entrance to Autobahn 2 in Dortmund. The driver of the refrigerated truck brought the vehicle to a stop. Food security staff sorted the cargo before it was transhipped. A crane truck had to secure the vehicle. The truck was later towed away. The driveway remained closed for the rescue operation until late at night.
