North Rhine-Westphalia: rescued people with turntable ladders from a burning house

Solingen (dpa / lnw) - In Solingen, several people were rescued by the fire brigade with two turntable ladders from a burning apartment building. Since the way out of the house was already full of smoke due to a burning wooden shed between the basement and the stairwell, people could no longer leave the building on their own on Wednesday night, according to the fire brigade. Several people were taken to hospital as a precaution. A bus provided by Stadtwerke Solingen helped to look after the residents. The road had to be closed to extinguish the fire.
