Leverkusen (dpa / lnw) - The Leverkusen Rhine bridge on Autobahn 1 will be closed this weekend in the direction of Dortmund. The closure between the Cologne-North and Leverkusen-West motorway junctions begins on Friday at 9:00 p.m. and should last until Monday morning (5:00 a.m.), according to the federal highway GmbH.
The diversion leads via the A4 to the Heumar triangle and the A3 to the Leverkusen junction. Motorists have to be prepared for traffic jams.
The opposite direction of the A1 was already closed last weekend. According to Autobahn GmbH, the reason for the measures is a reorganization of the traffic routing in the Leverkusen-West intersection.
