Bremen (dpa / lnw) - Bayer Leverkusen's sporting director Simon Rolfes has reopened the door for a permanent move from full-back Mitchell Weiser to Werder Bremen. "It's up to Werder and Mitch to find a solution," said the former Werder player to "Kicker" (Monday).
Bremen had already loaned the 28-year-old Weiser from Bayer 04 last season. However, the Leverkusen team continued to pay part of his salary during this time. Should there now be a final transfer, the factory club would probably not demand a fee for the player despite a contract that runs until 2023. However, Werder and Weiser would have to agree on a salary that also fits into the Bremen budget.
