North Rhine-Westphalia: scooter driver gets into oncoming traffic: 60-year-old dies

Jüchen (dpa / lnw) - According to the police, a 60-year-old scooter driver got into oncoming traffic and died in Jüchen in the Rhine district of Neuss. The man was hit head-on by a 31-year-old woman's car on Wednesday, officials said on Thursday. For reasons that are not yet known, he got into oncoming traffic on a right-hand bend on the country road. The man died at the scene of the accident. The driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries.
