North Rhine-Westphalia: Senior drives the car against the wall of the house - two slightly injured

Troisdorf (dpa / lnw) - An 84-year-old man lost control of his car in Troisdorf in the Rhein-Sieg district and crashed into a house wall. The impact caused the driver and a man in the house to be slightly injured, police said on Wednesday.

The senior wanted to drive his car out of a driveway on Tuesday and apparently confused the gas and brake pedals. So he drove backwards against a house wall. As a result of the impact, the wall was pushed inwards and damaged. A 27-year-old man sitting at his desk just behind the damaged wall suffered minor arm injuries, police said. The driver also suffered minor injuries. The driver and resident were then taken to the hospital.
