Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - A 45-year-old was seriously injured in a rear-end collision on the A44. According to the police, the man was driving near Werl on Thursday evening when a 29-year-old had to brake his vehicle in front of him - because of a traffic jam. The 45-year-old overlooked this and drove up, according to the police. Due to the force of the collision, his car then crashed into a truck parked in the right lane.
The 29-year-old was slightly injured, the 45-year-old seriously. "Since the forces deployed noticed the smell of alcohol in the 45-year-old as part of the accident recording, a blood sample was taken from him there," the police report said.
