North Rhine-Westphalia: shepherd dog Loulou gets into the Rhine and is rescued

Bad Honnef (dpa / lnw) - A shepherd dog has completed an involuntary tour of the Rhine near Bad Honnef. The animal, named Loulou, was pulled into the middle of the river while bathing on the bank on Friday afternoon, the fire department said. Rescue workers immediately set off. They finally managed to get the animal out of the water from the shore at a little further away. "She once crossed the Rhine and covered two and a half to three kilometers," reported a fire department spokesman. The dog owner was finally able to happily receive the uninjured but exhausted Loulou again.
