North Rhine-Westphalia: shot 16-year-old: all shots from a gun

Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - In the case of a 16-year-old who was shot in Dortmund, the shots only came from a police officer's submachine gun. This emerges from a report by the state government to the legal committee on Monday. A single witness had testified that the commander had also fired. According to investigations by the State Criminal Police Office (LKA), this seems impossible.

According to the LKA, the shell casings at the scene of the crime all came from the submachine gun, but not from the officer in charge's service weapon. All other questions about the case are still open, according to the Ministry of Justice. However, two other witnesses who were interrogated reported.

On August 8, a 16-year-old refugee from Senegal was shot dead by a police officer with his submachine gun in Dortmund. The critical question is whether and how the youth approached the officers with a knife.
