Siegen (dpa / lnw) - The police in Siegen have struck a blow against the drug trade. With the support of special forces and drug detection dogs, several objects in the region were searched and vehicles checked on Monday evening. Large amounts of drugs were confiscated. There were also several arrests. Two suspects (22, 25) are in custody, police and public prosecutors said in Siegen on Wednesday.

Previously, there had been intensive investigations by the police against a group of perpetrators from the Siegen area. According to their own statements, the emergency services found a total of around 25 kilograms of hashish and half a kilogram of marijuana during the searches. The drugs and a car were confiscated. Other suspects were released after police action was completed. Another suspected member of the group of perpetrators is being sought.
