Bonn (dpa/lnw) - In Bonn, university buildings were cleared after smoke suddenly rose from the road surface during construction work on a nearby road. To be on the safe side, the explosive ordnance disposal service was then requested, the city said on Monday. He finally identified the find as an incendiary bomb from World War II. An excavator picked up the remains and removed them.
A police spokesman said the call came in around 2 p.m. When trying to pull off the road surface during work, it ignited. It is said to have burned for a short time. The road workers were not injured.
