Essen (dpa / lnw) - People in North Rhine-Westphalia have to be prepared for snow and slippery roads on Tuesday morning. On the A45 between Hagen and Lüdenscheid there were several small traffic accidents in the morning due to the weather, as the police reported. In large parts of the country, however, the roads initially remained quiet.
According to the German Weather Service (DWD), people should expect sleet during the day. There is a risk of ice at maximum values between three and six degrees. Up to 15 centimeters of fresh snow could also fall in the mountains. During the night sleet and snowfall will move south and southwest.
On Wednesday it will mostly remain dry in the north, while it will still snow in some parts of the mountains in the south and rain at lower altitudes. The temperatures are between three and six degrees.
