North Rhine-Westphalia: stink attacks on car dealerships in Wuppertal

Wuppertal (dpa / lnw) - Unknown people have carried out stink attacks on seven car dealerships in Wuppertal. A foul-smelling liquid was distributed at the entrances to the shops on Sunday night, a police spokesman said on Monday on request.

It is probably an animal repellent spray, a so-called anti-marten spray. In addition, letters were left that could suggest authorship from the circle of climate activists: "Your cars stink - your houses now too," it says. The letters ended with "Lützerath is alive".

State security has started the investigation. A person had become ill, the smell had dissipated over time. The "Westdeutsche Zeitung" had previously reported.
