North Rhine-Westphalia: summer weather at the start of the week in NRW: changeable from Wednesday

Essen (dpa/lnw) - At the start of the new week, people in North Rhine-Westphalia can look forward to summery weather with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures. On Monday it was mostly clear and dry, said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD). Only on the Lower Rhine is there a low risk of showers - with temperatures of a maximum of 23 to 26 degrees. Tuesday will remain friendly with no precipitation in most areas.

However, that changes in the middle of the week, according to the expert. On Wednesday it was increasingly cloudy to heavily overcast and in the afternoon rain would move in from the north-west. The maximum temperatures drop to 18 to 22 degrees. According to the DWD, things will continue in a similar way on Thursday before the rain subsides in the afternoon and evening.
