Kerpen (dpa / lnw) - After the alleged rape of a woman in Kerpen in the Rhein-Erft district, the police arrested a suspect. According to the announcement, the 20-year-old has been in custody since Friday. He is said to have followed a woman home from a supermarket last Saturday and then raped her in her apartment. He had asked the woman in the hallway for help and then forced his way into the apartment, it was said. When relatives arrived, the 20-year-old fled.
He was identified by evaluating the video recording from the supermarket. A local police officer recognized the suspect. He is also linked to a sex offense at a Cologne hospital on June 7.
