Paderborn (dpa / lnw) - With anticipation for the new season, second division soccer club SC Paderborn has started preparations. "It's important to make good use of the first three days before leaving for the USA. We got off to a good start today," said coach Lukas Kwasniok at the start of training on Monday, with a view to the upcoming trip to the US states of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. "In the new season we want to increase the intensity on the pitch again, especially when working off the ball," he said.
Midfielder Ron Schallenberg is looking forward to the training camp and next season's games against two newly promoted teams. "I'm especially looking forward to the new stadiums. The games in Kaiserslautern and Magdeburg will definitely be great experiences," said the 23-year-old. The season in the 2nd Bundesliga starts on July 15th.
