North Rhine-Westphalia: The police are concerned with the mystery of several dead deer

Krefeld (dpa / lnw) - The police are dealing with an unusual accumulation of finds of dead deer near Krefeld. Already on Tuesday, a witness found a dead fawn in a box, the investigators reported on Thursday. It lay without fur, head and organs, packed in a cardboard box in a bush. On the same evening, the carcass of another deer with a gunshot wound was found, it was a mother animal with teats. Two other animals had already been discovered on June 2nd and July 8th, including one in the garden of a local resident with an older gunshot wound. The police are now looking for possible witnesses.
