North Rhine-Westphalia: the police are struggling with disturbers of the music box

Havixbeck (dpa/lnw) - The police operation due to a disturbance at a garden party in Havixbeck (Coesfeld district) culminated in a scuffle over the source of the noise and the arrest of several guests. According to the announcement, the police instructions were simply ignored by the party guests after arriving on Sunday night. Instead, the participants boldly announced that they would continue to party loudly.

The police then wanted to confiscate the music box. The 53-year-old landlord tried to prevent this. He wanted to bring the device into the house. The emergency services, in turn, prevented this and packed the jukebox. According to the information, there was a wild scramble in which the homeowner threw the box back and forth, hitting an officer slightly in the knee.

When the police were harassed by other guests, they called for additional forces. With then more personnel, the resistance was finally broken. Four people were taken into custody and three criminal charges were filed. There were also administrative offenses due to disturbance of the peace.
