North Rhine-Westphalia: Threatened with a pistol and robbed a suitcase of money: Two arrests

Dortmund (dpa / lnw) - An employee of a post office in a Dortmund shopping center was threatened and robbed at gunpoint. The perpetrator snatched a suitcase with a large amount of cash from him and slightly injured the man, the police said on Friday. The robber fled with another person, later two men were arrested.

According to the police, the money may have been the branch's income. After the crime on Thursday evening around 6 p.m., the perpetrator drove away in a car in which, according to police, another person was sitting. The police searched for the two with a helicopter, among other things.

It was initially unclear where exactly the two men were finally arrested and whether they were actually the perpetrators. The two are in police custody, it said. It must also be clarified whether the murder weapon is actually a live pistol.
