Herne (dpa / lnw) - On a private company premises in Herne, there was a train accident on Friday night with high property damage. When shunting at a container terminal of a company in the west port, a train ran into stationary goods wagons, said a Bochum police spokesman on request. As a result of the impact, numerous wagons were tipped off the tracks. The train driver was able to jump off his locomotive in time so that nobody was injured. There were no dangerous goods in the wagons. The cause of the accident is still unclear. The police spokesman said there was probably "immense damage to property".
