Steinheim (dpa / lnw) - A van driver left the road in the Höxter district and crashed head-on into a tree on a kindergarten site. Rescue workers took the seriously injured driver to a hospital after the accident in Steinheim, the police said. At the time of the accident on Monday morning around half past seven, there were no children on the outside area, so no other people were injured. The cause of the accident was initially unclear. A trailer was coupled to the van. According to initial police findings, the team veered off the road to the right and broke through a fence.
