Remscheid (dpa / lnw) - In Remscheid there was a two-hour power failure on Sunday evening, which affected 20,000 households. The first emergency calls were received at 6:43 p.m., a police spokeswoman said on Monday morning. The cause was that a man had gained access to a substation and had come into contact with electricity there. One assumes suicidal intentions, said the spokeswoman. The man suffered severe burns and was taken to a clinic by rescue helicopter. The WDR had previously reported on the power outage.
