Borchen (dpa / lnw) - Two people were injured in a head-on collision between two cars in the Paderborn district. A 33-year-old suffered serious injuries in the accident early Monday evening, police said. The woman wanted to turn left on the L818 near Borchen onto the A33 in the direction of Bielefeld. Her car crashed into an oncoming car.
Rescue workers extricated the woman from her vehicle. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The 48-year-old driver of the other car suffered minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital. Both cars had to be towed. The Borchen-Etteln exit remained closed during the salvage work in the direction of Bielefeld.
