North Rhine-Westphalia: Uncomfortable weather for the 1st Advent in NRW

Essen (dpa/lnw) - Cloudy and rainy: People in North Rhine-Westphalia have to prepare for uncomfortable weather on the 1st of Advent. Sunday started with no precipitation and was therefore "usable", said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) on Saturday in Essen. From the midday hours, however, more clouds and light rain will move in from the west. Then it rains "sometimes more, sometimes less," said the expert. In addition, it is quite mild with maximum temperatures of seven to ten degrees.

According to the DWD, the weather situation at the beginning of the week is similar: On Monday it will be overcast and at times it will rain lightly. The rain only subsided during the night. Nevertheless, there could also be showers "here and there" on Tuesday - with a maximum of six to nine degrees.
