North Rhine-Westphalia: Unknown people shoot fireworks in the bedroom at night

Hagen (dpa / lnw) - A 28-year-old woman was rudely awakened in Hagen because a fireworks rocket flew through an open window into the bedroom. On the night of Saturday there was a sudden bang, sparks flew and the smoke detector in the apartment triggered the alarm, the police said on Monday. Shortly thereafter, the young woman noticed that strangers had apparently shot a New Year's Eve rocket through the tilting window. This resulted in burn holes in a curtain and a woolen blanket. Fortunately, no one was injured, said a police spokeswoman. "This is more than just gross nonsense and very dangerous, considering what could have happened." The police are investigating and looking for witnesses.
