North Rhine-Westphalia: Unknown throws a stone on the bus

Bottrop (dpa / lnw) - An unknown person in Bottrop probably threw a stone at a bus that was traveling without passengers. Two windows were broken, no one was injured, the police said on Thursday. The bus driver heard a clinking on Wednesday evening and noticed that two opposite panes were broken. Investigators found a "larger pebble" on site. It is possible that the perpetrator threw it onto the bus.

A connection with two cases in Gelsenkirchen, where objects were thrown at vehicles in an inner-city road tunnel, is routinely checked. So far, however, there is nothing to indicate that the cases belonged directly together, said a police spokeswoman.
