Hagen (dpa / lnw) - A 74-year-old woman died in a traffic accident in Hagen on Wednesday. According to the police, the car of a 24-year-old on the federal highway 54 got into oncoming traffic for reasons that have not yet been clarified and collided head-on with the car of a 71-year-old. The passenger of the 24-year-old died at the scene of the accident. In addition to both drivers, a 5-year-old and two women aged 41 and 50 were injured and taken to the hospital. A witness also required medical attention.
Accident experts from the Dortmund police have taken over the investigation into the cause. The road was closed in both directions during the rescue work.
