Aachen (dpa / lnw) - employees of the main customs office in Aachen found 117 grams of heroin in a 41-year-old woman, which she had hidden in cellophane and a condom in her genital area when she entered Germany. Last week, the woman walked across the border from the Netherlands to Germany with a 37-year-old. In the case of a suspicion-free check, the couple would have initially denied the question of whether they were carrying narcotics, before the man handed the officers a small amount of marijuana.

During further questioning, the two suspects then got caught up in implausible information, a customs spokeswoman said on Thursday. The physical search at the federal police station in Eschweiler confirmed the suspicion of attempted drug smuggling. Criminal proceedings were initiated against both persons for violating the Narcotics Act.
