North Rhine-Westphalia: woman takes Navi at her word and ensures track closure

Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde (dpa/lnw) - A woman got stuck with her car on a level crossing in Nachrodt-Wiblingwerde in Sauerland - after she said she had taken her navigation device at her word. This asked the 37-year-old to turn around, but during the maneuver she got stuck in the track area, the federal police said on Friday. There were significant disruptions to rail traffic.

After the incident on Thursday afternoon, the Ruhr-Sieg route from Altena to Hagen was immediately closed, it said. That lasted about two hours. It is now being examined whether proceedings will be initiated against the woman for disruptive actions.
