Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - After a brutal robbery in Krefeld, including a chase through three cities, three young people were sentenced to 20 months in prison. The Düsseldorf district court suspended the sentences against the 17-year-old on Tuesday. In addition, they have to pay the victim 600 euros in compensation for pain and suffering.
The trio had attacked a clothing store in Krefeld in June 2021 and injured an employee by beating them. At the time, the perpetrators jumped into a getaway car that was waiting and went on a wild chase with the police through Krefeld, Moers and Duisburg before they could be caught and arrested.
A baton, firecrackers, a crowbar and a stun gun were found in the getaway car. The hearing was not public for reasons of youth protection.
