North Rhine-Westphalia: young people steal alcohol in the supermarket

Bonn (dpa / lnw) - Two young people stole several bottles of alcohol in a supermarket in Bonn and slightly injured two employees with punches. When the employees confronted a 16-year-old suspect after the theft, he is said to have reacted aggressively and hit the two, police said on Friday. Together with his 17-year-old alleged accomplice, he fled on foot after the crime on Thursday. An uninvolved cyclist followed the duo so that a police patrol could check the young men and take them to the station. Officials reportedly seized several bottles of spirits.
