Minden (dpa / lnw) - The former handball world champion Christian Zeitz and GWD Minden go their separate ways. As the Bundesliga club announced on Monday, the two-year collaboration with the 41-year-old left-hander will end after this season. Veteran Zeitz played 59 of his 465 games in the handball upper house for East Westphalia.
"It was a new experience for me to play for relegation and I was able to gain more experience here too, which can help me in one situation or another in the future. It is important to get at least one win in the next three difficult games, to make staying in the first division perfect," said Zeitz. Minden is currently ranked 16th in the table, just one point behind the penultimate HBW Balingen.
