87,681 corona cases were reported to the RKI yesterday.
In the previous week comparison, there is again a strong minus of 28 percent.
This is the tenth consecutive business day of a week-on-week decline.
With yesterday's reports, the total number of corona cases registered in Germany since the beginning of the pandemic is now more than 31 million.
It took twelve days from the 30th to the 31st million.
The 7-day incidence continues to fall, from 516 to 480.
It is thus below 500 for the first time in exactly six weeks.
The incidence falls in all 16 federal states.
All 16 countries are also in the red in a week-on-week comparison.
210 corona deaths were reported to the RKI yesterday - more than since May 17th.
With 116 deaths, the 7-day average has also reached its highest level since mid-May.
But: If the number of reported deaths continues to follow the number of reported cases with a gap of three weeks, at least a preliminary peak should be reached in the death statistics within a week.
