Charged is James Close, 45, a license practical nurse who allegedly recorded the images while working at Penn Medicine Dermatology, 1000 Floral Vale Blvd. in Yardley, Lower Makefield Township.
He was arraigned Feb. 13 on charges related to the 17-year-old victim and sent to Bucks County prison in lieu of 10 percent of $100,000 bail. He remained incarcerated Monday, and is slated for arraignment Tuesday on 44 new charges related to the investigation.
The case is being investigated by Lower Makefield police and prosecuted by Bucks Assistant District Attorney Megan K. Stricker, according to the office of District Attorney Matt Weintraub.
"We are appalled by the action of this former employee and we are cooperating fully with the investigation," Susan Phillips, a spokeswoman for Penn Medicine, told KYW-TV CBS 3.
Police originally responded about noon Feb. 13 to the practice after the 17-year-old noticed a silver iPhone lying on the ground at her feet while undressed in a booth to receive radiation treatment for a skin disorder, township police said.
Adopted girl's alleged killers headed for trial
Police obtained a search warrant for the iPhone and found about 18 videos showing the teen and seven additional victims receiving light treatment while under Close's care, authorities said.
In each video, Close's voice is recognizable on the video, and his face is seen in one, police said.
In the video of the women, four are completely nude, one is nude from the mid-torso down, one is wearing a bra and one is wearing a bra and underwear, court records say.
None of the female victims consented to the recordings, authorities said.
