He is the doctor who is not only trusted by women in the jungle camp: Dr. Bob! In the British version of the format, too, as "Medic Bob" he took care of the well-being of the candidates for 20 years. But now he is apparently turning his back on the show.

He has assisted hundreds of celebrities with the British and German versions of the jungle camp. But now should Dr. Bob No Longer Part of "I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!" be. This is reported by The Sun, citing insider information.

The British version of the show is actually the original, which was first broadcast on ITV in 2002. In this country, "I'm a star - get me out of here!" 2004 on the air on RTL. In both versions from the start: paramedic Bob McCarron. In Germany he is known as "Dr. Bob" - and the loud reputation of the moderation duo for his medical expertise is legendary. In the British, however, he is known as "Medic Bob".

Already in the last two seasons in which "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" had been moved from Australia to Gwrych Castle in Wales due to the corona, the now 72-year-old was missing. He has already been replaced at the Welsh castle by another medical expert who was not seen on TV.

At the end of 2022, however, the British will also return to Australia with the show. Nonetheless, Dr. According to "The Sun", Bob then no comeback in "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" to celebrate.

The newspaper quotes an insider, Dr. Bob is so busy that he "had to give something up - unfortunately that's the British version". However, imagining the show without the icon is extremely difficult.

Nevertheless, the separation seems to be without bad blood. A station spokesman told The Sun that Dr. Bob will "always be a friend of the show". They wish him "all the best" and thank him for "his hard work".

And what does all this mean for the German RTL edition, which will be shown again at the beginning of next year (also available on RTL)? Apparently nothing. So be Dr. Bob continues to be involved in the German version, writes "The Sun". Even more: Work is also said to continue on his spin-off show, in which he travels through Australia. Sonja Zietlow and her new counterpart Jan Köppen will soon be heard shouting out loud into the jungle: "Dr. Bob!"
