The Amber Alert for the boy, aged two years old, was cancelled early Saturday morning. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Tyler Rios (27), the father of the child, was taken into custody in Tennessee. The child is now safe.
After he disappeared around 6 p.m. on Thursday, authorities began searching for him. Rios said to his family that he had made remarks about the mother of the child and that she was in the trunk. According to the highway patrol, the location of the mother is still unknown.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, authorities had earlier been informed by FOX 8 News that they were on the lookout in Akron for Rios' vehicle. An Amber Alert was therefore issued for the state.
