A man was killed and four other people were injured when shots were fired outside a Gary nightclub overnight.
Officers were called to the 1700 block of Grant Street around 3:15 Sunday, according to Lt. Dawn Westerfield, a spokeswoman for Gary police. They found a man from Griffith dead and four other people hurt, authorities said.
Dvontai Wright, of the 900 block of 35th Street in Griffith, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a Lake County coroner's office release.
No other information was released Sunday.
