Star moderator Thomas Gottschalk can imagine, "Wetten, dass...?" longer than expected to moderate. So far, only two editions of the television classic are planned. If it were to continue, however, viewers would have to be prepared for a change.
Forever "Wetten, dass ..?": According to his own words, Thomas Gottschalk can now imagine a permanent continuation of the television classic with him as moderator. "I'm open-ended when ZDF and God agree," said the 72-year-old from the magazine "Hörzu" according to the announcement.
So far only one show is planned for November 19th and next year. However, Gottschalk ruled out an annual summer edition from Mallorca, for example. "Although it was always a topic of conversation, it was ultimately disappointing in terms of the ratings," he recalled of the earlier Mallorca programs.
"In the memory of the ZDF viewers, the summer edition is also inextricably linked to the bullring on Mallorca - this building is now dilapidated and would no longer survive such a large event," said Gottschalk.
