The facts of the disappearance date back to 1989. However, it was "reported" by the two daughters, now adults, on September 15, 2021.
According to Ouest France, the children who were then adults were aged six months and three in 1989. The suspect was taken into police custody Monday after he admitted to having strangled his wife. According to Ouest France, he still claimed that he killed his wife using a wire from a phone and then buried her body.
Investigative efforts are underway to find the location of the body. A judge of freedoms and imprisonment issued an order for placement under judicial surveillance. This order was appealed by the prosecution.
