It is very clear that the situation is similar to that of last summer, said WHO Regional Director Hans Kluge in Copenhagen on Tuesday. Only the situation is now driven by the Omicron sublines BA.2 and BA.5, which are more easily transferrable than the previous ones. With the increasing number of cases, an increase in hospital admissions can also be observed.
