After getting into trouble at sea, an 11-year old boy died.
After an accident at West Angle Bay, Zac Thompson, Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire, was killed, Zac Thompson, Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire, passed away.
Local reports claim that Zac was swimming with two other people near rocks on Friday night when he became into trouble.
Pembroke Dock Community school paid tribute to him, saying he was "a huge zest for life" and "was a beloved and much-loved personality".
Eyewitnesses said that the emergency response was massive with as many as 20 vehicles on the scene.
Zac was flown to the hospital, where he died later.
His school posted a Facebook tribute saying that he was "excellent academically, in special in maths" and that he loved to solve mental maths problems (keeping staff on their toes).
Zac, a Year Six pupil, was talented in sports. He played "exceptionally well" in cricket and helped the school reach the area finals. These were to be played this week.
According to his school, he was funny, had a cute smile, and looked forward to his last weeks of primary school and the summer holidays. He was also looking forward to the opportunity to move on to secondary school.
It said that Zac had a tremendous zest for life.
"One of his sweetest memories was when he was in year 3, Superhero Day. Zac dressed up as his favorite superhero, his mum, to go to school.
"Zac stated that not all superheroes wear caps."
According to the school, it was a "dreadfully difficult time for his family" and that their thoughts, prayers, and love were with them.
"We are devastated. It said that Zac was a wonderful young man and a valued pupil. He will be deeply missed."
Dyfed-Powys Police stated that it was called to West Angle Bay Friday at 21:25 BST after receiving reports that a child had been pulled from the water following difficulties.
It said that Zac Thompson, an 11-year-old boy from Pembroke Dock, was flown to the hospital, where he died.
