Picked up in the hotel: "Jackass" star Bam Margera is back

Former "Jackass" actor Bam Margera has long been considered a problem child because of his drug and alcohol problems. Worrying news this week is that he escaped from rehab and has since disappeared. But now the all-clear can be given.

Bam Margera has resurfaced after escaping a Florida rehab. This is reported by the US portal "TMZ, which had previously reported on the disappearance of the 42-year-old. Accordingly, the police found Margera in a nearby hotel.

Margera was voluntarily brought back to the facility by the police and a crisis intervention team, citing unnamed sources from the former "Jackass" star's environment.

The clinic manager reported Margera missing on Monday, according to TMZ. The site referred to a police report from Delray Beach. Earlier, Margera allegedly told the manager that he was dissatisfied with the facility and its services and wanted to leave.

The skateboarder has been battling alcohol addiction and mental health issues for a long time. Margera has been in rehab for alcohol abuse several times in the past.

Margera rose to fame after the turn of the millennium as part of the team on the MTV series Jackass. Right from the start he was one of the main protagonists of the show, which achieved a certain cult status with its violent stunts, tests of courage and disgust.

"Jackass" also made it from television to the big screen. This resulted in various feature-length strips with other "Jackass" figureheads such as Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O. However, Margera's penchant for drugs was also his undoing. He was fired in February 2021 while filming "Jackass Forever" after another relapse. Scenes already shot with him were removed from the film.
